AMIE/AMIETE Facts:

1. AMIE means Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India)  

2. AMIETE means Associate Member of The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers. 

 

What is the eligibility to appear for AMIE ?

 A student who has passed 12th or Equivalent examinations with English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 45% marks in each subject is  eligible to appear for AMIE/AMIETE examinations.

 

Recognisation of  AMIE and scope ?

Since AMIE is well recognised by the Central Government as well as all State Governments, so after passing AMIE a person is eligible for all the Government and Private jobs which is for B.E. passed students.

 

PROSPECTS AFTER AMIE/AMIETE :

After passing Section A and B of the Institution Examination you will become Corporate Member of the Institution of Engineers (I).Now you can designate yourself as a “ Chartered Engineer”.

 

You may appear in GATE Examinations (conducted on second Sunday in February, notification in Times of India in October) for M.E./M.Tech. courses

 

After passing AMIE Examinations you may appear postgraduate Diploma examinations conducted by The Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata. Presently these Examinations for Postgraduate Diploma are scheduled at five centres, namely, Kolkata , Chennai , Nagpur, Delhi, and Hyderabad. These examinations are conducted in April and October

 

You may now work as a Consultant in respective engineering field

 

You may sit in various competitive examinations viz. IES, IAS , MBA, and many more

 

You may get promotions in many Government /Private/Public sector departments

 

You may apply for superior posts.
